The Imaginate Makerspace

Hands-On Innovation in the Imaginate Makerspace

In our Imaginate Makerspace—a state-of-the-art engineering and design laboratory—students from preschool through grade 8 engage in hands-on projects that spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Using MacBooks and cutting-edge tools, they design, prototype, and bring ideas to life through experiences such as building go-karts, gliders, LED paper sculptures, circuits, and furniture. This innovative learning environment fosters problem-solving skills, encourages exploration across STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), and inspires young minds to think boldly and creatively.
Projects with Purpose: Connecting Classrooms to the Makerspace

At every grade level, Imaginate Makerspace projects are thoughtfully designed to complement and extend classroom learning. From Pennsylvania wildlife studies in Kindergarten to independent design projects in Eighth Grade, each experience connects hands-on making with core academic concepts. Students progressively build their creativity, problem-solving abilities, and technical skills as they move through the grades, with projects intentionally tailored to their developmental stage and curriculum. Whether sculpting, engineering, coding, or constructing, students apply classroom knowledge in authentic, interdisciplinary ways—transforming ideas into tangible creations and gaining the confidence to think critically and innovate.
