• + Step 2: Campus Tour

  The best way to experience everything Moravian Academy has to offer is to come and visit!  

  
  

  Tours can be scheduled directly through the admissions portal.  You can create your account in the admissions portal, if you have not done so already, by submitting the Request for Information Form.

• + Step 3: Submit an Application

  Completing the online admission application formalizes your decision to pursue Moravian Academy for your child. The application fee is $30, payable at the time of application.

  
  

  Submit an application by January 29, 2027, for Priority I Admissions. 

  
  

  Priority I applicants who have completed all required steps and who have submitted required documentation will be notified of an admission decision the first week of March or shortly thereafter.  

  
  

  As space allows, admission applications submitted after January 29, 2027 will be evaluated on a rolling basis as they become complete.

• + Step 4: Student Shadow Days

  In Grades PS-8, Student Shadow Days may be strongly encouraged or required for certain applicants based on their admissions materials.  Students entering grades 9-12 will be required to participate in a Student Shadow Day.  These are typically held on Tuesdays and Thursdays and should be scheduled directly through your account in the admissions portal on myMA.

• + Step 5: Admission Screening

  All students entering PS-Grade 8 will be required to schedule an admissions screening.  
  
  

  Preschool: Applicants will participate in a playdate with our current Preschool faculty or the Campus Admission Director, providing an opportunity to interact in a familiar environment through age-appropriate play and activities.
  
  

  PreKindergarten and Kindergarten: Applicants will complete the Gesell Early Screener, an age-appropriate developmental assessment administered by the Director of Admissions for their respective campus. The screening helps us better understand each child's developmental readiness and learning profile.
  
  

  Grades 1-8: Applicants entering Grades 1–8 are required to complete the MAP Growth Assessment as part of the admissions process. MAP is a nationally recognized, computer-adaptive assessment that measures a student's current achievement in reading, language usage, and mathematics. The results help our Admissions Committee better understand each applicant's academic strengths and areas for growth and ensure appropriate placement and support.
  
  

  Students applying to grades 9–12 do not complete an admissions screener. Instead, they are required to participate in a Student Shadow Day, providing an opportunity to experience classes, meet current students and faculty, and gain a firsthand understanding of daily life at Moravian Academy.

• + Step 6: Evaluation of Academic Progress

  Preschool, PreKindergarten, and Kindergarten: Parents/Guardians should submit a progress report from your child’s current school or childcare program, if applicable.  You may also directly upload these to your myMA account in the admissions portal.
  
  

  Grades 1-8: Parents/Guardians should submit your student's most recent report card or unofficial transcript to the Director of Admissions you've been working with or admissions@mamail.net.  You may also directly upload these to your myMA account in the admissions portal.
  
  

  Grades 9-12: Applicants must request that their current school release his/her records to Moravian Academy.  School officials should send these directly to admissions@mamail.net. 
  
  

  In addition to progress reports, transcripts, and/or report cards, Moravian Academy reserves the right to request additional documentation, including (but not limited to):

  • ESL Documentation (for current or previous students in an ESL program), which may include prior results from TOEFL or WIDA exams.
    • Students in Grades 6 - 12 may be required to complete the Duolingo English Test to ensure language proficiency.  Moravian Academy does not currently provide ESL support for its students, and this exam will allow us to determine if sufficient resources are available for student success.a student can be successful with us.
  • 504 Plans
  • IEPs
  • GIEPs
  • Additional documentation that the Admissions Committee deems necessary to make an informed admission decision.

• + Step 7: Request Teacher, Counselor, and Personal Recommendations

  All recommendation forms are requested and sent directly through your myMA account in the admissions portal to your teacher, counselor, or other designated recommender. To ensure successful delivery, please provide an accurate email address for each recommender when completing your request via the checklist.
  
  

  Preschool, PreKindergarten, and Kindergarten: Requires a Nursery School, Daycare, or Teacher recommendation.
  Grades 1-5: Requires a general Teacher recommendation.
  Grades 6-8: Requires a Math and English Teacher recommendation.
  Grades 9-12: Requires a Math and English Teacher recommendation, as well as a Counselor Recommendation.
  
  Additional personal recommendations may be submitted to admissions@mamail.net, but they are not required.

• + Step 8: Apply for Financial Aid

  Moravian Academy’s financial assistance is designed to assist families who could not otherwise afford the full cost of tuition. Financial aid decisions are made by the Financial Aid Committee and are separate from the decision of the Admissions Committee. An application for financial aid does not affect an applicant’s opportunity to be admitted to the school. 
  
  

  Families interested in applying for financial aid should do so simultaneously with the school application process.
