All Grade 9 students will travel to the DaVinci Science Center and Moravian Archives with their Grade Dean and Advisors.
These field trips will provide an opportunity for students to connect classroom learning in their Biology, Health, History, and Arts classes with hands-on, real-world experiences, while also deepening their understanding of “Self and Identity”, the Grade 9 theme.
Grade 12 will have an extended Class Meeting on MSC in the morning and then travel to Swain for activities with their 1st Grade Buddies in the afternoon.

The Swain Campus celebrates the anniversary of founding D. Esther Swain‰Ûªs school in 1929. Families are welcome into the school for special presentations in the McCann Center where students give musical performances, attendees learn the history of the Swain School, and a pinning ceremony is performed for the Kindergarten class.åÊ After, a tree planting ceremony is held outside to commemorate D. Esther Swain‰Ûªs love of trees.

Students who did not have their photos taken in September and students who want their photos retaken go to Snyder Conference Room during lunch or free period. NOTE: If a student ordered a package and was not happy with their photo please ask them to return their package on Retake Day. Christmas City Studio will refill their order with the new photo. The new package will be shipped directly home.

1:30 PM - Students in Grades PK - 3 will parade in costume around God's Acre. Students in Grades 4-8 will watch along the pathways. Parents and guests are welcome to attend. Students will go back to their classrooms for student-only Halloween parties until dismissal.
