MA HOSTS, COMPETES IN SPEECH & DEBATE TOURNAMENT

On Saturday, February 10, 2024, the Moravian Academy Merle-Smith Campus hosted the February Tournament of the Allentown Dioceses Forensics League (ADFL).
 
We had eleven students represent the Upper School Speech & Debate Team across three events (Public Forum Debate, Lincoln-Douglas Debate, and Original Oratory Speech). Of our eleven competitors, four of them placed and will be advancing to Nationals Qualifiers at Northampton Community College on March 2nd, 2024:
  • The team of Shaan Ailawadi '26 and Aveer Chadha '26 took 4th place in Public Forum Debate and will be advancing to Nationals Qualifiers!
  • Laura Li '26 took 1st place in Original Oratory Speech and will be advancing to Nationals Qualifiers!
  • Macie Bazella '26 took 4th place in Original Oratory Speech and will be advancing to Nationals Qualifiers!
