Welcome Mrs. Christy Mertus, RN, BSN, HDC School Nurse

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Christy Mertus, RN, BSN, as the new school nurse on the HIstoric Downtown Campus of Moravian Academy. A graduate of Moravian University with eight years of nursing experience, including three years in school health, Mrs. Mertus brings both deep clinical expertise and a compassionate approach to student care. As the head nurse for a high school with over 2,000 students, she was known for building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff, and for expertly managing everything from emergency care to chronic illness.

Mrs. Mertus' colleagues describe her as a dependable, empathetic leader with exceptional communication skills and a strong commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment. In addition to holding an active Pennsylvania nursing license, Mrs. Mertus is currently working toward completing her School Nurse Certificate Program at Millersville University.

Her dedication to student wellness and academic success, along with her experience in leading health programs, will make her an invaluable part of our community. We are thrilled to have her on our team and look forward to the positive impact she will have on our students and staff. Please join me in welcoming Mrs. Mertus to our campus on Monday, November 18.
