Upcoming Parking Changes on Market Street
The following changes are scheduled for Wednesday, September 25, depending on the weather.
The City of Bethlehem has decided to convert the parking spots on the Moravian side of Market Street into diagonal spaces similar to those on Main Street. This new configuration should create 14 additional spaces on Market Street. During this process, the centerline of the street will be shifted two feet to accommodate the new back-in-only, diagonal parking spots. The parking on the opposite side will remain parallel. Additionally, parking meters will be removed, and ParkMobile signs, along with pay stations, will be installed.

The street will be closed for at least one day to facilitate these changes. The Parking Authority has assured us this work will not disrupt morning drop-off or afternoon pick-up times. The street closure will occur between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM. To ensure a smooth transition, a police officer will be present during our arrival and dismissal times in the days following the changes.
