Best of luck to Mara Dubacher `26, Emma Xu `25, and Collin Schreiber `26 from our Golf team, competing in States today and tomorrow at Penn State!
This past weekend was a celebration of school spirit as faculty, students, and parents rallied behind our Boys' Soccer team in the Colonial League Championship. Though the win was just out of reach, their determination earned them another shot at States. In the semifinals, Senior Hasan Strandzhev '25 gave the Lions an early lead with a goal in the first half, followed by two impressive second-half goals from Junior Selman Eris '26, securing a 3-1 victory over Southern Lehigh. The Lions advanced to the championship on Saturday, where they faced a tough Northwestern Lehigh team. Despite a strong effort, the Lions fell 0-3 in the final match. They now set their sights on the PIAA District XI championship this Wednesday, 10/23, at 6 PM against Pine Grove Area.
Just 12 minutes into the girls' semifinal match, Senior Angel Deluhery '25 gave the Lions an early 1-0 lead. However, Saucon Valley responded with three unanswered goals, bringing the Lions' playoff run to an end. The team now sets its sights on competing in districts. They will take to the field on Thursday, 10/24, in the semifinals.
A huge congratulations to our Boys' and Girls' Cross Country Teams for their hard work in the Colonial League Championships! The Boys’ Team finished 8th, and the Girls’ Team took 9th—both with inspiring performances all around.
